And ab work can be just as easy, just lay down and do some crunches or any other stability exercise. But to complete a well-rounded upper body core workout you need to incorporate pull-ups. I definitly didn't want to drop a huge chunk of change on a big, expensive, pull-up contraption that we have no room for in our place and there aren't too many things just laying around the house that can act as a pull-up bar. That's where The Iron Gym comes in. It's compact, easy to set up and use, light, and inexpensive. It just hooks right onto any old door frame and doesn't require any modification to the door. Just hook it on and go.

By simply adding pushups, pullups, and some ab work this off-season you'll be pumped and ready to race come spring.

Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar

Check out these links or just go through the Black Friday link on the post below for some sweet tri-deals.

1. A Balaclava. An absolute must if you even hope to do ANY riding outdoors this winter.

2. Shoe covers. Again, winter riding means you must have these.

3. Gore Bike Wear Windstopper gloves. If you sit on your couch all winter and never touch your bike it's because you don't have these.

4. Gore Bike Wear weather-PROOF jacket. If we had to choose one item over any other as the most important piece of gear we own it would be a Gore Bike Wear jacket.

5. Dreaming of those summer days? A new pair of Oak's under the tree will get you through the next few months.

6. A Tanita Body Composition Monitor. So you can precisely measure how fat you get over the winter!!!

We could go on and on but that'll do for now. Someone's gotta kick start this economy, why shouldn't it be us?
That means no sticky sports drink splattered all over your seat tube.

Second, the spout is self-sealing and doesn't require the whole bite-open-hip-slap-close routine. Seems like a little detail but I absolutely love it on a ride. It's amazing how convenient it makes drinking.

Third, they have a shut-off valve to prevent accidental spillage when transporting them in a transition bag.

In the real world these bottle do everything they are supposed to do. They DON'T leak from the lid, they DON'T leak from the top, and they are simply awesome and super easy to drink from. Believe me, it's been a while and it'll be a while longer before you get this excited about a plain old water bottle again.
